Postal inspector opens criminal complaint in Florida.
A U.S. Postal Service delivery worker in Orlando, Florida, has been arrested for dumping mail in the woods. Ottis McCoy Jr. raised suspicions when he returned from his route early. Surveillance footage was discovered that showed the alleged incident of over 1,000 pieces of mail being discarded. Hundreds of the items were election-related.
A postal service inspector opened an investigation and retrieved most of the discarded mail.
The county election supervisor stated, “It is extremely concerning to see vote-by-mail ballots on the ground. We are, however, grateful for the prompt action taken by the United States Postal Service.“ He added that election officials are “fully committed to ensuring that every impacted Orange County voter receives their vote-by-mail ballot in time so that every voice can be heard in this historic election.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For state election officials as they seek to ensure the integrity of this year’s election.
- For USPS supervisors and personnel to be honorable as they carry and deliver election-related mail.
